1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Rome Tourz (the website) and, for operators, the listing plans we offer. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What Rome Tourz is

Rome Tourz is an information and comparison website for tours and tickets in Rome, Italy. We show three kinds of tours: partner tours provided by GetYourGuide, our own tours, and tours listed by independent operators.

Unless a tour page says we are the seller, we are not the organiser of the tour and we are not a party to your booking. See our affiliate disclosure for how we earn money.

3. Travellers: bookings and cancellations

For partner tours, you book and pay on GetYourGuide under their terms, including their rules for changes and refunds. For operator tours, you book with the operator or send an enquiry, and the operator's own terms apply. For our own tours, the booking terms shown at checkout or in our confirmation apply.

Each tour page shows the cancellation terms we have been given. They can change, so always check your booking confirmation. Descriptions, prices and availability come from third parties and may change without notice, so please check them before you pay.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Give accurate information and tell us if you think your account has been misused. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

5. Operators: listings and eligibility

Operator accounts are for businesses and professionals who offer tours in or around Rome. You confirm that you are authorised to offer each tour you list and that you hold the licences, permits, insurance and guide qualifications required by Italian and EU law.

All new listings are reviewed before they go live unless your plan allows publishing without review. We may ask for changes, refuse a listing, or remove or suspend it, for example if it is inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, unlawful or breaks these terms.

6. Operator plans, billing and cancellation

• Plans. The Free plan costs nothing. Starter, Pro and Agency are paid subscriptions with the listing limits and features shown on the plans page.
• Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in euros through Stripe or PayPal. Prices may exclude VAT where VAT applies. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your operator dashboard or by contacting us. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. We do not refund periods already started, except where the law requires.
• Changes of plan. If you move to a plan with a lower listing limit, listings over the limit may be set to draft until you are within it.
• Non-payment. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is resolved.
• Price changes. We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

Operator plans are offered to businesses. Statutory withdrawal rights that apply to consumers do not apply to business subscriptions.

7. Operator content and responsibility

You are responsible for everything you publish: descriptions, prices, photos, availability, booking links and cancellation terms. You must have the rights to all images and text you upload and keep your listings accurate and up to date.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and promote your content on Rome Tourz and in our marketing for as long as it is listed. You remain responsible for delivering your tours, for your customers, refunds, taxes and any claims relating to your service.

We do not guarantee any number of enquiries, clicks or bookings from a listing or plan.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no scraping at scale, no attempts to break or overload it, no false or misleading content, no spam, and no use for unlawful purposes.

9. Intellectual property

The Rome Tourz name, design and our own text and images belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy substantial parts of the site without permission.

10. Third-party links

Our site links to partners and operators. We do not control their sites or services and are not responsible for them.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, and to the rights consumers have under mandatory law, we are not liable for tours we do not organise, for the acts of operators or partners, or for indirect or consequential loss. For operators, our total liability in connection with a plan is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

The site is provided as is. We try to keep information accurate but cannot promise it is always complete or error-free.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. Consumers keep the mandatory protections of the country where they live, and may bring a claim in their local courts. Otherwise the courts of Italy have jurisdiction. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. For important changes affecting operators we will email you. Questions? Contact us.
